White Mountain Webcams

Before you head to the high peaks of the White Mountains, check out the current conditions with the help of these live web cams.

Mount Washington and the Presidentials
The Mount Washington Observatory (MWO) operates several excellent webcams that cover all sides of the Presidentials, including views from Bretton Woods, Wildcat Mountain, Attitash Ski Area, and Jackson. Webcams are also located on the summit of Washington and capture views north, views west, and across the observatory's observation deck. You can find them all together on the Mount Washington Observatory Webcam Network. (MWO members receive access to nearly 20 more views from the webcams; membership starts at $45.)

One other good resource is the Mount Washington view from www.hazecam.net, which details the amount of air pollution and haze present.

Franconia Notch
This Franconia Notch webcam is the best I've found for the area. Located in Easton, N.H., the cam is accompanied by real-time data from an adjoining weather station, including wind speed and direction, temperature, precipitation, and more. It looks eastward toward Mount Lafayette and Cannon Mountain.

Other Webcams
Here's a comprehensive round-up of webcams around the Lakes region of New Hampshire, with more than a dozen views of Lake Winnipesaukee. Here's a broader round-up of webcams across the New Hampshire, from Rye Beach to Pittsburg.
