It's summer trip planning time. If you're like me, that means pulling out a lot of hiking maps to plot potential adventures—and keeping an eye out for new maps for the 2010 season. Several have caught my eye for Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

Acadia National Park Discovery Map: New updated 3rd edition for 2010. $9.95. Covers all the trail trails in the park and is designed to accompany the new 2010 edition of Discover Acadia National Park.
Green Mountain Club Maps
Camel's Hump and the Monroe Skyline Hiking Map: New for 2010, this is the latest addition to their series of excellent regional hiking maps for Vermont, which also includes Mount Mansfield and the Worcester Range and Northeast Kingdom Hiking Trails. They're all printed on waterproof paper and retail for $4.95.
National Geographic MapsWhite Mountains Trails Illustrated Explorer: Digital versions of National Geographic's two-part series of Trails Illustrated maps for the White Mountains. Includes their TOPO! software, allowing you to draw routes, view terrain in 3-D, and create elevation profiles, among other things. $24.95.
